Control Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure With Natural Herbal Remedy

Monday, December 7th, 2009

High blood pressure is a condition that has the potential to be quite a health risk. Therefore, it is essential for anyone suffering from high blood pressure to follow the advice a health care professional or a qualified naturopath before relying entirely on remedies other than prescription drugs. Similarly, for controlling blood sugar, while you may try alternative remedies, you should always take your doctor?s advice about reducing the intake of (or stopping) prescription drugs.

Silymarin for blood sugar – Antioxidants are known to be beneficial in controlling blood sugar. Silymarin, (silybum marianum) a herbal extract taken from the seeds of Milk Thistle, has wonderful antioxidant properties that work in this manner. By taking Silymarin, you can reduce your blood sugar levels quite significantly. Silymarin contains the active ingredients called flavolignans, which help the liver from poisoning. They also are believed to help in controlling Type 2 Diabetes, although the exact mechanism as to how they do it is still not clear.

Mulberry leaf Morus – mulberry leaf is chock full of Vitamin A and the B family of vitamins. It also contains pectin, adenine and choline. Chinese make and consume ?sugar control herbal tea? made from morus, green tea and jasmine in order to control blood sugar levels.

Vaccinium berries – Herbs that include huckleberries, blueberries and bilberries belong to the genus Vaccinium. Bilberries are rich in antioxidants and are said to control blood sugar levels. Both the leaves and the fruit of the bilberry herb have long been in use for the treatment of diabetes. But, as the leaves do impair the normal working of the liver when used for a long time, it is better not to use the bilberry leaves at all. But the berries of the bilberry herb are very useful, even if they may not really lower the blood sugar levels. They are excellent in protecting the blood vessels from the damaging effects of diabetes and other diseases.

Neem leaves – Extracts from neem leaves and bitter gourd, it is believed, help in controlling blood sugar levels, provided they are consumed on a long term and regular basis.

For controlling blood pressure, you should first take care of your nutrition. Avoiding meat and dairy products will help. In doing so, you can reduce your cholesterol too. Eat an abundance of fruits, especially those kinds that do not aggravate your blood sugar levels, in case you are a diabetic as well.

The best thing that can really work for lowering your blood pressure is drinking a lot of plain water while avoiding consuming soft drinks, particularly those that are processed drinks and those that contain sugar. It is better to avoid coffee as well. The best advantage with water is that it does not produce any side effects at all.

The next thing you can do is to minimize your intake of common salt or sodium. Better yet, just avoid salt altogether in your food. Table salt is processed sodium chloride and is found in high quantities in processed and pre-packaged foods.

If you start with only fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and whole grains, you won?t have a problem lowering your sodium intake. If you cannot avoid salt intake altogether in cooking, you can perhaps use sea salt or ?Celtic salt?, whose molecules are quite complex, and so it is not harmful like table salt is. It is also hard to find low-salt foods at restaurants due to the high volume of prepared and frozen foods they buy before they even start making your dish in the restaurant.

Following any or all of this advice will help to control blood sugar and blood pressure the natural way.

Alternative Treatments for High Blood Pressure- Cure Hypertension and Normalize Your Blood Pressure With No Drugs!

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Have you tried any alternative treatments for high blood pressure? If you have not, you might want to consider why some doctors are now prescribing various natural health remedies to normalize blood pressure naturally. In the process of saving hundreds to thousands of dollars each year (not paying for prescription medication), you will also become a healthier person.

With high blood pressure numbers on the rise, most people have followed their doctor’s suggestion of taking high blood pressure medications for the rest of their lives. But, due to the harsh side-effects, many people are now normalizing blood pressure with simple alternative treatments. And many of these natural health secrets are now being suggested by doctors!

Natural Health and Alternative Treatments

It was no more than 10 years ago when natural health and alternative treatments were considered taboo. Many thought these cures were quack or for hippies! Currently, millions of people world-wide are now jumping on the natural health bandwagon.

Much of this is because recent research is now showing that many natural remedies are very effective for reducing high blood pressure. And some people are just tired of dealing with the harsh side-effects from high blood pressure medications which include irregular heartbeat, dizziness, weakness, flushing key nutrients, poor circulation, insomnia, depression, kidney hurt, cholesterol problems and even excessive hair growth.

Fortunately, alternative treatments for high blood pressure do NOT have any side-effects and work to normalize blood pressure using key vitamins, vital supplements, a better diet, an exercise program and critical minerals that your body must have to regulate a healthy blood pressure.

Some Suggestions from a Natural Health Doctor

If you are currently taking hypertension medications, do NOT stop taking them before discussing it with a doctor. Unfortunately, the medications you are taking must be weaned off in order for your body to function properly.

Our company’s natural health doctor, Dr. Scott Saunders suggests incorporating various alternative treatments for high blood pressure while still taking your medications. With due time, you will be able to stop taking the medication and have normalized blood pressure.

Here are some effective and researched remedies that some doctors are now recommending!

5 Natural Remedies for Hypertension

1. Your Diet- Your diet could be one of the most vital factors for normalizing your blood pressure. A fantastic nutrition plot is one that emphasizes low saturated fats, low cholesterol, and low in total stout. Your diet should now be based on lots of fruits, vegetables, stout free milk products and lean meats. Our High Blood Pressure Remedy Report goes in thorough detail on your new diet.

2. Relaxation- Relaxing is a fantastic way to decrease stress and lower blood pressure. One simple way is to practice simple breathing techniques that increase circulation levels and oxygen levels. It has been said that more oxygen in the body means lower blood pressure. Many of our customers practice these simple techniques right at their work desk!

3. Potassium- One of the three most vital minerals you should be getting is potassium. Duke researchers recommend getting 4,700 milligrams per day to decrease your blood pressure by as much as 20 points.

4. Folic acid - Young women who consumed at least one milligram of folic acid daily had a 46 percent lower risk of high blood pressure than those who consumed less, while older women had an 18 percent reduced incidence of high blood pressure. The recommended dosage is 400 micrograms a day.

5. Fish Oil and E - Studies have shown that consuming just a tablespoon of flaxseed oil daily lowered both blood pressure numbers by nine points. Some studies have shown that fish oil oxidizes easily and should be taken with Vitamin E. Our recommendation is to go with the vitamin E and fish oil.

Anycomplementary/alternative remedy to cure cholesterol and high pressure?

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

I am a male of 47 years ancient, slim and no smoker and no drink alcohol, but I do have cholesterol and high blood pressure. I am taking LIPITOR 20mg tablets but I noticed it makes me fart which is quite embarrassing. The fact that I am eating more salad to lessen the cholesterol may also contribute to my winds but certainly the farting got worse since taking the Lipitor. Is there any home remedy to help cholesterol in the body? Thanks very much
